Impressed by Anakin Skywalker's skill with the Force, the Jedi Council conferred upon him the status of General and Jedi Knight at the outset of the Clone Wars. Anakin led the 501st Legion of clone troopers on many campaigns, with Clone Captain Rex serving under him. Anakin's confidence was his greatest asset and also his greatest liability. Never hesitant to risk it all, Anakin's passions consistently led him into dangerous situations and some questionable decision-making.
Anakin's brash nature and bold talk often placed him at odds with other Jedi, many who viewed Anakin as a loose-cannon. Though they were as different as a Master and apprentice could be, Anakin and Ahsoka quickly found a common ground, which left many wondering whether the responsibility of mentorship would actually calm Anakin's wild ways, or if he'd pass them on to his new Padawan.
